First Impressions, Uniform & Professional Presence
First Impressions, Uniform & Professional Presence
People form an opinion before you speak.
Punctuality, uniform, posture, attention and visible professionalism establish trust. Poor presentation can undermine authority and reflect badly on the client.
Uniform+
Wear the required clean uniform and PPE correctly. Keep appearance consistent with the deployment standard and report missing/damaged items.
Body language+
Stand or position yourself so you can observe the area while remaining approachable. Avoid slouching, aggressive postures or turning your back on customers unnecessarily.
Personal phones+
Do not use personal devices while on position except where authorised or required. Looking absorbed in a phone signals inattention and may create safety risk.
Punctuality+
Arrive early enough to book on, attend briefing and deploy before customers require the area. Late arrival can affect opening and staffing plans.
A smile, greeting and calm tone can coexist with firm access control.
