Control Needs Accurate Information

The control point is the hub for command, control and communications.

Control may monitor CCTV, crowd numbers, radio traffic, incidents, alarms and decisions. Your reports contribute to the event log and operational decisions. Use correct call-signs, location first for urgent incidents, and factual information.

Safety Officer+

The Safety Officer has operational authority for safety management and must be able to make safety-related decisions.

Supervisors+

Supervisory stewards link front-line teams with the Safety Officer/control structure.

Stewards+

Carry out locational or functional duties according to competence, briefing and deployment.

Integrated partners+

Local authority, police, medical, fire, highways and other stakeholders may form part of the wider safety operation.
