VAWG Scenarios & Final Assessment

LESSON 8 OF 8

VAWG Scenarios & Final Assessment

Safety, dignity, discretion and evidence.

Use realistic scenarios to apply the course. Staff should remember that official safeguarding, medical, police and venue procedures take priority and that this awareness course does not turn staff into investigators or counsellors.

Scenario: harassment+

A customer reports repeated touching in a queue. Create space, identify the alleged person if safe, call appropriate support and preserve witness/CCTV information.

Scenario: spiking concern+

A friend reports sudden extreme symptoms. Obtain medical support, protect the person and follow evidence/welfare procedure.

Scenario: coercive partner+

A person asks to leave through another exit because their partner is waiting outside. Treat the safety concern seriously and coordinate a discreet plan.

Scenario: staff behaviour+

A colleague makes sexual comments to customers. Challenge or report the behaviour through management/safeguarding routes.

Final standard

Listen without blame, protect immediate safety, use discreet escalation, preserve evidence and support safe onward options.
