Hostile Reconnaissance & Suspicious Behaviour

LESSON 4 OF 9

Notice Patterns and Purpose

Suspicious activity is assessed from behaviour and circumstances, not protected characteristics.

Be alert to repeated observation of security routines, unusual interest in CCTV/access points, testing of barriers, attempts to obtain staff information, unexplained loitering around sensitive areas or efforts to bypass controls. Follow ACT/site reporting procedures.

Knowledge check

Someone repeatedly records staff access routines and asks when security changes shift. What should you do?
