Safeguarding Scenarios & Final Assessment
Safeguarding Scenarios & Final Assessment
Apply the principles to realistic venue situations.
This final lesson brings together recognition, immediate safety, disclosures, professional boundaries, reporting and escalation. The correct venue procedure and live safeguarding lead always take priority over generic course examples.
Scenario: lost child+
A found child cannot give a clear family name and becomes distressed when an adult approaches. Keep the child within the approved safe process and escalate before reunification.
Scenario: disclosure+
A young person says an adult has been messaging them and is waiting outside. Listen, establish immediate danger, report promptly and preserve the words used.
Scenario: vulnerable adult+
An intoxicated adult has lost friends, cannot access their phone and is being pressured to leave with a stranger. Treat this as a welfare/safeguarding risk, not merely a customer-service issue.
Scenario: staff concern+
You witness a colleague behaving inappropriately toward a young customer. Protect the customer and report through the safeguarding route even if the colleague is more senior.
Notice. Protect. Listen. Report. Record. Maintain boundaries and never conduct your own safeguarding investigation.
Knowledge check
