Watch the Crowd, Not Just Individuals
Crowd conditions can change quickly. Early reporting gives management time to intervene before pressure becomes dangerous.
Queues+
Watch for excessive build-up, frustration, queue jumping, blocked routes and pressure against barriers or entrances.
Density+
Report increasing compression, restricted movement, people showing distress or crowd movement becoming uncontrolled.
Routes+
Keep gangways, stairs, exits, emergency routes and access for responders clear.
Behaviour+
Changes in mood, chanting, intoxication, confrontation or sudden movement can be early warning signs.
