Last week Controlled Space underwent the annual assessment for the SIA's Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) for the 14th consecutive year.
Again, we were awarded an even higher score in recognition of our ongoing improvements and numerous good practises!
What is the purpose of the SIA ACS?
The Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) provides a recognised hallmark of quality within the private security industry. This is a voluntary scheme and any company that is part of the scheme has chosen to be. Controlled Space are 1 of only 4 approved organisations in the UK with Approved Contactors scheme Status in the following sectors
- Close Protection
- Door Supervision
- Key Holding
- Security Guard
- Public Space Surveillance (CCTV)

We also had an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 audit taking place at the same time.
What is the purpose of the ISO standards?
ISO 9001 is a standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system (QMS).
By achieving this certification, Controlled Space has demonstrated that it can consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements while enhancing customer satisfaction.
ISO 14001 is a standard for environmental management, which provides a framework for identifying and controlling an organisation’s environmental impact.
By achieving this certification, Controlled Space has demonstrated its dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility through reducing its environmental impact and improving its environmental performance
